OUTLINE OF THE MEETING:
The WG of interventional Cardiology of the Croatian Cardiac Society in association with 61st International Congress of the European Society for Cardiovascular and Endovascular Surgery (ESCVS) organizes on April 26–28, 2012, in Dubrovnik, Croatia a "joint meeting" of interventional cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons dedicated , among many other professional topics, to some still unresolved and debatable issues (TAVI; LMCA; multivessel disease etc.) common to both professions in the modern era of integrated treatment of complex cardiovascular patients. During the meeting The 2nd Fellows Course in Interventional Cardiology is organized as a part of continual medical education in interventional cardiology. The objective of the course is a continued yearly formal education of primarily Croatian cardiologists who have started or have recently completed a program of training in interventional cardiology. However, attendees from all neighboring countries of south-east Europe are more than welcome. After completion of the course the candidates should be able to better evaluate and stratify the elective and ACS patients, to identify the procedure high-risk patients and to prepare and define the most appropriate strategy of treatment by application of EAPCI current guidelines.
